This weekend, reports from the English press had new claims about West Brom’s efforts to keep Filip Krovinovic at the club.

It was said the Baggies would make an offer to take the midfielder on another loan from Benfica. This deal would include a clause for a permanent move in case the club manage to stay in the Premier League for the following season.

Several Portuguese newspapers are covering the news today, and although most of them have nothing to add to it, A Bola comes up to disagree.

The outlet explains the English report, but then claims to know that West Brom will actually make a regular offer for a permanent transfer.

Krovinovic was loaned by Benfica to West Brom last summer, and made 40 Championship appearances in the campaign which took the Baggies to the Premier League.

For a while, the Portuguese press have been claiming the English side would like to make the transfer permanent. Reports have been saying that the plan would be to spend €10m on the signing. That’s the same price West Brom spent to sign Matheus Pereira, who had been loaned by Portuguese side Sporting this season.
