Italian media outlet Rai Sport (via Tutto Mercato Web) have an update on the future of two Italian strikers Simone Zaza and Manolo Gabbiadini.
Zaza has been struggling at West Ham since his summer move, and has failed to find the back of net in over 500 minutes of football.
Napoli star Manolo Gabbiadini, who spent the last season under the shadow of Gonzalo Higuain, has also failed to make an impact after the departure of the Argentine star.
Rai Sport report West Ham would be willing to let Zaza leave the club in January to accommodate Gabbiadini. Napoli are also looking for reinforcements in January, and could consider taking Zaza on board.
As easy as it sounds, a lot will be dependent on the will of both the players. Also, Napoli would have to negotiate a transfer fee with Juventus for Zaza.
West Ham actively tried to sign a striker during the summer, and it remains to be seen if they’re willing to do it again in January, or keep Zaza at least till the end of the season.
