With the Bundesliga title race now over and Bayern Munich once again crowned champions, clubs like Borussia Dortmund can start thinking about next season in a bit more detail.

Lucien Favre’s side have already announced their first signing in the shape of Thomas Meunier on a free from Paris Saint-Germain, which could mean they’ve decided not to attempt to sign Achraf Hakimi permanently.

The Morocco international has been great for them over the course of his two-year loan from Real Madrid, and if he doesn’t stay at Dortmund, he’s got plenty of offers from elsewhere, including Manchester City.

This is what El Chiringuito journalist Edu Aguirre reported early on Friday morning, explaining that Hakimi has 90% made up his mind that he doesn’t want to return and stay at Zinedine Zidane’s club.

He has three offers in front of him allowing him to avoid that: one from Bayern Munich, one from Inter and the third from Manchester City.

Aguirre, in pure El Chiringuito dramatic fashion, explains that while Hakimi does ‘like’ the opportunity of moving to Pep Guardiola’s side, he is aware they could be banned from the Champions League for the next two seasons.

It seems to be a risk he isn’t willing to take, and, out of the three, his preference appears to be Inter.

A lot will come down to whether or not Real Madrid are prepared to sell, but if they do choose to cash in, they won’t be short of offers.
