Chelsea are keen on signing Boubacar Kamara from Marseille on a free transfer, reports RMC Sport.
The 16-year-old hasn’t signed a professional contract yet, and could leave the Ligue 1 club at the end of the season on a free transfer.
Several players have left Marseille for free in the recent years, but there’s a new regime taking over, and it’s been reported the Ligue 1 club have offered Karama a three-year contract.
However, RMC Sport say the chances are high of Kamara leaving for a foreign club if Marseille can’t find an agreement. The 16-year-old captains the reserve side of Marseille, and is also wanted by Borussia Dortmund and PSV.
American businessman Frank McCourt is set to complete the purchase of Marseille by next Monday, and things could escalate after that.
Signing the youngster would be more to do with Michael Ememalo than Antonio Conte, and adding to the club’s impressive youth ranks.
Chelsea have signed several highly rated young talent in recent years, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Kamara also joins them in the near future.
Maybe he should start practising Dutch.
