Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has spoken to the Portuguese media this week, this time in an interview with TVI 24. In a live chat on Instagram, the midfielder talked a little about his plans for the future, and the places he’d still like to play.

Silva has revealed his wish to feature in La Liga, saying he wouldn’t turn down the chance of a move.

“I would like to play in Spain one day, it’s a league that fascinates me,” said Bernardo Silva (via Bancada).

“When I was a kid, I looked at the Premier League and La Liga as the two best in the world. I wouldn’t say no if the opportunity comes up.”

Asked about a possible return to Portugal, Bernardo Silva has claimed there’s only one club he’d like to play for in his home country.

“Only for Benfica, the rest doesn’t interest me. If they want me there, I’ll be back. I’ve said it several times. I don’t know exactly when. Not now, but I also wouldn’t like to go back late.”

One of the reasons Silva always sounds so eager to play for Benfica is that he couldn’t prove himself there. Despite spending years at the club’s academy, he could only make three official appearances for the Eagles before being sold to AS Monaco in 2014.

Even though the return to Benfica looks like something to think about in a few years, Bernardo Silva didn’t say the same about this dream of moving to Spain, so Manchester City better watch out.
