Napoli have joined the ever-expanding list of clubs to have shown interest in Watford striker Luís Suárez.
Suárez is currently on loan at La Liga 2 side Real Zaragoza but has been in fine form, scoring 17 goals in all competitions thus far.
That form has created plenty of speculation about his future, with numerous clubs thought to be considering him as a target in the summer transfer window.
Initially, the interest was just from Spain, but that has now spread, with sides in Serie A also believed to be showing interest.
However, his interest has seemingly been rebuffed by Watford who, according to information the website have been given, have told any suitors they will have to pay €50m for the striker’s signature.
That’s a considerable increase on earlier reports, which had stated they were looking for €10m.
As has been mentioned elsewhere, their plan is to bring Suárez back to the club next season, but it seems he may not end up playing for Watford.
Instead, the Pozzo’s intend to send him to one of their other clubs, Udinese, so they can ‘further enhance’ his profile and secure themselves a considerable profit in future.
There is interest in him now, though, with it believed the likes of Napoli, Lazio, Valencia and Atlético Madrid could ‘persuade’ Watford into selling this summer should they push hard enough.
