Unless you’ve been living without electricity and internet for the past few months, you’ll be somewhat aware that West Ham are looking for a new striker.
Just today, there have been multiple reports of offers being made for both Alexandre Lacazette and Michy Batshuayi in Ligue 1 from Slaven Bilic’s side, but a cheaper option could be available to them.
Also allegedly on their list is AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca, whose agent has been pretty vocal about his client’s future since the season came to an end, and the Italian club would be willing to sell the Colombian, but only for the right price.
West Ham, who have already had a bid of €20m (£16.3m) apparently rejected for the striker from Milan, and are yet to renew their interest in him, but with this news, that could change.
The aim of the sale, as well as getting some money in, would be to cut the player’s salary of £63k/week off their wage bill.
The player is allegedly open to a new adventure, and a move to England, considering he’s already played in both Spain and Italy, seems like the next logical step.
At such a price, and with a proven record to score goals wherever he goes, Premier League clubs would be slightly foolish not to at least consider him as an option.
