Just like during vacations and international breaks, South American players have been taking their time off in the Coronavirus crisis to speak to their home country’s media.
This time it’s Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga who’s talked to Argentine outlet Ataque Radio, from Club 947, and discussed his time at the London side.
There were two interesting parts of the interview. The first of them in which Gazzaniga named a favourite player in Argentine football, saying Spurs should sign him.
“I like Campuzano, I think he made a good difference. If Mourinho asks me, ‘bring him along’,” he says about the Boca Juniors midfielder (via AS).
“I’m of Boca Juniors, I said it several times. I would like to play in Argentine football. I have a contract, it’s difficult now. But it’s a wish.”
Born in the city of Murphy, in Argentina, Gazzaniga left his home country pretty early. He started his professional career in Spain, playing for Valencia, having then moved to Gillingham, Southampton and finally Tottenham Hotspur.
Should he leave Tottenham in the near future, then a move to Boca doesn’t seem likely, given there’d probably be European interest in the goalkeeper.
