David Silva could make an emotional return to Valencia this summer when he leaves Manchester City.
The Spanish midfielder is set to leave the Etihad when his contract expires at the end of July, bringing an end to a trophy-laden ten years in Manchester.
He has been heavily linked with a move to MLS, with it known that David Beckham’s Inter Miami are keen, but according to Fichajes, a return to Spain could be on the cards.
They report that the Manchester City veteran is a target for Las Palmas and Valencia, who both ‘dream’ of securing his signature.
Valencia are the side with the ‘most enthusiasm’ about a move given their history with Silva, who was a product of their youth system and made 166 appearances for the club before joining Manchester City in 2010.
A club would consider him returning as ‘very positive news’, while it’s explained that it would have ‘great emotional overtones’ for Silva personally.
There’s no mention of whether there has been contact yet, although it seems everything is there in place to make it happen if everyone wants it.
