Everton striker Cenk Tosun has spoken to Turkish news agency Anadolu and confirmed he will undergo an operation in London next week following his injury.
The 28 year old was loaned to Crystal Palace from Everton during the January transfer window, but he suffered a serious knee injury this week in training and was subsequently sent back to Merseyside.
Speaking about his injury and treatment plans, Tosun said he will miss six to nine months and will undergo surgery to repair his ruptured ACL: “I will have an operation on my knee in London. The procedure will happen on Tuesday or Wednesday. I will need between six to nine months to fully recover. I will be with Everton during my treatment.”
He made 5 appearances for Roy Hodgson’s side during his brief loan spell at Selhurst Park, and scored one goal. Tosun was loaned to the south London side after struggling to get games with Everton during the first half of the season.
