At Udinese, there’s a pride of the relationship the club have with Watford in the Premier League.
The two clubs, owned by different members of the Pozzo family, have completed a number of transfers between themselves over the year, often benefitting the Italians more than anything else.
The latest in a long list of players to feature for both sides was Sebastian Prödl, who terminated his contract at Vicarage Road to then sign for the Serie A side on a free.
However, with Brexit around the corner, things could get a bit more complicated for Watford, which has led some to believe, like Mondo Udinese, the Pozzos could get a few transfers done as soon as possible before the end of the year.
The 16-year-old has already been linked with moves to Manchester City and Tottenham, but the Italian website explain Watford are also ‘monitoring’ the young forward.
He wouldn’t cost a lot now, and there’s hope from the Italian side of things he could be among the players brought in by the Premier League club and then loaned out to the Udine based club.
Wishful thinking, perhaps.
