For as long as we can remember, the Italian media were determined to somehow get Felipe Anderson a transfer from Lazio to Manchester United.
Linked quite regularly with a move to the north of England when Louis Van Gaal was in charge and demanding pace going forward, the player has found decent early season form with three assists in six games so far.
According to Il Messaggero, the player’s sister, who represented him previously, handed over the role to Giuliano Bertolucci, known as Kia Joorabchian’s partner, and this has led to a potential transfer to England.
The Italian newspaper say Bertolucci is already working on a deal, with Chelsea the most likely destination, having sent Ramires, Alexandre Pato, David Luiz and Oscar there in the past.
This might be jumping the gun as far as the destination is concerned, but it certainly seems like we are likely to see Anderson in the Premier League at some stage.
As the player himself said: “I came to Lazio without wanting to go elsewhere, but in football, you never know.”
