Italian outlet Firenze Viola today features an interview with former striker Emiliano Bonazzoli, who played for several Serie A clubs during his career.
The chat this time was focused on Fiorentina’s attacking system, as the club are preparing for an important game against Sampdoria on Sunday.
One of the players who could be solution for La Viola is Patrick Cutrone, who signed for the club on a loan deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window.
Speaking of the new arrival, Bonazzoli was asked to evaluate Cutrone’s first few appearances for the Italian side.
“He played as a starter, was brought in, was replaced… He had no continuity at Wolves and in my opinion this is the main problem,” said Bonazzoli, whose last job was as a coach with Hellas Verona’s women’s team.
Since joining Fiorentina in early January, Cutrone has made seven appearances for the club. He’s still to score a goal in Serie A, since the only time he’s found the net was in a cup game against Atalanta.
Cutrone is loaned to Fiorentina until the summer of 2021, with the Italian side have an obligatory clause to buy him at the end of the spell.
