Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama believes his new club are up there with his former side Celtic. The Kenyan joined the Premier League side in the summer from Southampton for £11m.
The central midfielder believes Tottenham are showing a lot of ambition with the young players they have at the club, and the feeling in the dressing room is they’re going places.
“I think the club is up there with Celtic. It’s a big club and you can feel that in the dressing room. We have young players who want to work hard and who are very ambitious, which is a very good thing,” said the Kenya international on his new club.
Wanyama made his named at Celtic after joining the SPL club in 2011. His performances for Celtic, and in particular in the Champions League, brought him to the attention of clubs in the Premier League, and in 2013 he moved to Southampton.
The player spent just three seasons on the south coast before getting his big money move to Tottenham in the last window.
