Antonio Conte may have to settle with Christian Eriksen after Inter Milan reportedly accepted defeat in their efforts to sign Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal.
On January 14th, we carried a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, who explained the Serie A side will have to deal with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy to complete the 27-year-old’s transfer.
It was also suggested Spurs are demanding €20m for the Denmark international, while the Nerazzurri are willing to spend only €10m on the former Ajax man.
Sky Italia are now reporting that Inter have made the first offer of €10m for the player.
Calciomercato brings the latest update on this and states the Italian side’s proposal for the playmaker has been ‘rejected’ by Tottenham.
It remains to be seen if Inter will improve their offer or wait until the end of the season to sign Eriksen on a free transfer.
