Real Valladolid have set their sights on strengthening the attacking division of their B team in the winter market.
Journalist Ángel García tweeted on Friday that Valladolid’s B team will bring in a player from Leicester’s U23 side, but didn’t provide any detail as to who the player would be.
Saturday’s edition of Spanish newspaper AS provides more information on that front and explains Leicester’s Raúl Uche is ‘very close’ to joining the La Liga side’s B team.
The Madrid-born forward joined the Foxes in 2016 and is currently representing their U23 side. Uche has not featured for the English club’s first team and his current deal at Leicester will run down after the end of the season.
The report didn’t provide any information as to whether Valladolid will sign Uche on loan or a permanent deal.
Online, AS further adds the youngster will join the Spanish club’s reserves and sign a contract at Valladolid for ‘several seasons’.
With less than six months left on the Leicester contract, the Foxes would be compensated for the transfer rather than allowing him to leave for nothing after this season.
