Manchester City’s Samir Nasri suffered a hamstring injury at the weekend whilst playing for loan club Sevilla, and it’s being seen as potentialy a big blow in Spain.
Out of Pep Guardiola’s plans, several clubs wanted to sign Nasri on loan, with serious interest from Turkey, but Sevilla proved to be the most appealing destination.
Local Seville newspaper Estadio Deportivo report on Monday that rumours of MLS interest may cause a worry, because Sevilla would like to keep Nasri longer.
On a Manchester City contract until June 2019, sooner or later a longer decision than a loan will have to be made.
Estadio Deportivo say Sevilla will do ‘everything possible’ to try and secure a deal for Nasri next summer, hoping they can be more appealing to the player than a big pay day.
The local media already being so sure Sevilla would want a longer stay goes a long way to underline just how much the Manchester City owned player has impressed.
