Fiorentina are keen on Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone and could make a move for him in January.
Cutrone joined Wolves from AC Milan in a £16.2m deal in the summer transfer window but has found life in England difficult since his arrival.
Raúl Jiménez’s superb form has limited the Italian to just three starts in the Premier League so far, and he has managed just 13 minutes of league football since the end of October.
A return to Italy has been mooted and according to both La Repubblica and Tuttosport, Fiorentina are ready to offer it to him.
La Repubblica explain that La Viola are on the hunt for a striker, adding that position a ‘primary requirement’ for the club.
Wolves would be willing to let the 21-year-old leave on loan, according to the claims, with the deal including a right to buy at the end of it.
Tuttosport back that up, saying that Fiorentina’s interest in Cutrone ‘has strengthened’ and they are now seriously thinking about a move.
Sporting director Daniele Pradé has already flown to England to open negotiations with Wolves about a move.
As previously stated, it would be a loan deal with a right of redemption tagged on.
Cutrone would be happy to make the move as the ‘important’ thing for him is to get back to Italy and get his career back on track after stalling at Wolves.
