With Gennaro Gattuso taking charge of Napoli just a few weeks from the transfer window, the Italian side are obviously listing a few players who could be added to the squad for the second part of the season.

As covered by Area Napoli today, Radio Kiss Kiss has reported a meeting between the manager and club chief Aurelio De Laurentiis which happened during a dinner last night.

They’ve discussed a few names in the transfer market, and the ‘most popular’ of them is the one of Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira.

It’s claimed that through people close to him, the player has given green light to a move to Napoli, even though his transfer isn’t seen as something easy to achieve.

The Italian side know Arsenal are making big demands for his transfer, but in case the Gunners do open this possibility, then they’re ‘certainly ready’ to make an attempt.

With Torreira saying he ‘likes’ the possibility of leaving Arsenal for Napoli in January, there couldn’t be a better message for the Serie A side right now.
