A week ago, we’ve covered a report from Brazil saying Liverpool had made contact for the signing of Fluminense youngster Evanilson.
Website Netflu claimed the Reds have been in touch with the player’s entourage, as they continue ‘monitoring’ his situation at the Rio de Janeiro side.
Evanilson was a starter in the game against Corinthians for the last fixture of the Brazilian league at the weekend, and scored his first two goals as a professional.
But since his contract with Fluminense expires in February, there isn’t a guarantee that he’ll stay at the club for longer. That’s why he spoke about his situation after the game.
UOL now reports that Evanilson’s future is quite unpredictable. His agent Eduardo Uram is set to meet Fluminense and discuss all the possibilities.
The website writes that Liverpool have indeed watched the 20-year-old playing and ‘liked what they saw’. But although there are other European sides interested in him, no official offers have been made so far.
