We’ve got some bad news for Tottenham and Manchester United fans who got excited about their clubs being interested in Nicolò Zaniolo: going to England isn’t in his plans just yet.
Ever since the young playmaker made his grand entrance on the professional football scene last year, there’s been interest in his services, with both Spurs and the Old Trafford club being linked sporadically.
The London side were seemingly the most insistent over the summer, even going as far as readying a ‘golden contract’ for the prodigy, but a move never materialised.
As for Manchester United, their interest appears to have been rekindled in recent weeks, as claims of them being ‘willing to offer’ €60m have surfaced.
Zaniolo feels his relationship with Roma is only getting stronger, and there’s hope within the club that getting into the Champions League next season, they can lock down their talents, including the young Italian, for the foreseeable future.
At just 20 years of age, it’s understandable if he doesn’t want rush things just yet, and there’s still plenty of time for him to get a move to the Premier League if he wants it.
It just means interested clubs on this side of the Channel, like Spurs and United, will have to wait.
