Watford star Gerard Deulofeu has given an interview to the Catalan Football Federation this week, as he’s been awarded as the top scorer of Catalan football.
What gave him this prize were the ten goals scored for the Hornets last season, and when speaking of his form at the club, he’s shown a lot of love for the Vicarage Road side.
“I am very happy to be making history with this club, I feel very comfortable there. I have adapted to their style of play and I’m offering a great level,” he said (via Sport).
Speaking of the Catalan national team, Deulofeu has claimed that he’ll always play for them when he gets the chance: “I would be very excited to return. Whenever there is the opportunity I try to come.”
Deulofeu has also been questioned about a possible return to La Liga, but that’s something he doesn’t seem to look forward to. Both because of his bad experiences in the country as well as for his admiration of the Premier League.
“I didn’t have good experiences either at Barça or Sevilla but you can never close the doors to the best league in the world. Anyway, I love the Premier. Football there is lived with a lot of passion and I’m very comfortable.”
With Watford bottom of the Premier League table, this would be a suitable time for Deulofeu to feed any kind of rumours, but he seems to be pretty loyal to the club at this stage.
