Manchester United had an official at the Mestalla Stadium for the Champions League clash between Valencia and Lille last night, according to reports from Spain today.
Journalist Dani Meroño Bori has reported on Twitter the club’s ‘global scouting chief’ has been seeking some talents from the La Liga side.
It’s said that Manchester United had already been scouting Carlos Soler back in August. Now this time, they went to see José Gaya, and also took notes about ‘genius’ Ferran Torres.
Dani Bori writes that the Red Devils are rebuilding their team and are looking to bring some ‘Spanish talent’ to Old Trafford.
That’s all he says in his tweet, but as usual, website Deporte Valenciano makes things a lot bigger. They cover the report and say ‘Manchester United want to close the signing of José Luís Gaya’.
Deporte Valenciano adds that the left-back should cost around €100m, but that shouldn’t be a problem for the Red Devils, since the Premier League and Manchester United are full of money.
