PSV Eindhoven’s Donyell Malen made headlines this month when he netted five goals in his side’s 5-0 victory over Vitesse.
Since then, the British press has discussed Arsenal (his former club) and Liverpool interest in the recently capped Netherlands international, while AC Milan have also been linked with the forward.
According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur are the latest Premier League club to join the chase for the 20-year-old and they go on add that Spurs ‘like’ the Dutchman.
The Italian website doesn’t provide any additional information about Tottenham’s interest in the player, whose contract with PSV runs down in 2024.
Malen scored 11 goals and managed five assists in all competitions last season and was largely deployed on the left wing.
Mark van Bommel has played him as a centre forward this season and the attacker has repaid his manager’s faith by already matching last season’s goals tally in 14 appearances.
If Tottenham want to sign Malen, they will have to deal with his agent Mino Raiola. An earlier report from Calciomercato stated PSV value their star in excess of €30m.
