Eder Militao moving from FC Porto to Real Madrid made Jesus Vallejo the fifth choice central defender at the club, and subsequently an exit looked likely.
Whilst it had been rumoured Vallejo could move elsewhere in Spain on loan, Wolves came in and got a deal sewn up relatively quickly. They took the 22 year old on loan for the season, and, according to claims from Spain at the time, Real Madrid extended the player’s contract.
The youngster is waiting to establish himself in the Premier League, and it’s quite possible he’ll continue to be used in the Europa League.
The ‘possibility of making cash’ is to be taken seriously, and it’s thought there’d be no shortage of offers for the youngster, especially if he can impress with Wolves.
That, clearly, would give the English club the chance to sign him themselves, despite having no permanent clause in the loan deal.
It all depends on what happens between now and the end of the season, yet either way a Real Madrid exit is certainly a realistic scenario.
