Today is the day when all the clubs who want Marcelo Brozović should open their eyes.
First, Gazzetta Dello Sport had an article this morning saying the player’s relationship with the manager Ronald Koeman isn’t any good, as he’s set to be out of the squad for a long time.
Then Calcio Mercato claimed that Chelsea and Tottenham would be the preferred bidders for the midfielder, since they are the clubs from abroad who want him and Inter don’t want to sell to Serie A rivals Juventus.
Now Calcio Mercato (yes, them again) are saying that the club board has blocked any talks to extend the player’s contract. The plan was to renew his deal until 2021 and give him a pay rise, but that’s not going to happen in this situation.
They say it means that although the winter market is still far away, Brozovic should start thinking about finding a new club, because it’s very unlikely his future will be at Inter.
The Italian side reportedly want €20m for the 23 year old. That could be bargain for ‘Epic Brozo’, as the player is nicknamed.
