Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes is back on being linked to European giants, and ironically, the Portuguese press was the last to get to the news this time.
It all started in Spain this week, with the local media saying Jorge Mendes has been negotiating about the player’s move with Real Madrid.
Now several newspapers in Portugal have stories about it today. Some like A Bola simply cover what is being said. Others like Record explain they have already reported that Mendes would offer Fernandes to the Galacticos.
And there’s also Correio da Manhã, who claim to have learned the super agent has been in talks with Real Madrid for the transfer.
Fernandes’ €70m price tag is not something Real Madrid are willing to pay, but still, the negotiations will continue, as the player has been requested by Zinedine Zidane.
Correio da Manhã adds that Tottenham ‘failed’ to sign Fernandes for €60m plus €10m in bonuses, and now the player could be moving to the Spanish capital instead.
