Fotomac report Besiktas expect Southampton winger Mohamed Elyounoussi to arrive in Istanbul this week as they look to complete a deal for the Norwegian international on a season-long loan.
The Turkish newspaper report the Black Eagles are in talks with the player’s entourage with regards to a transfer to the Super Lig and they say there are only a few minor details to deal with.
The 25 year old is also hoping he can play for Besiktas this season as he’s been impressed with fans’ messages and the show of love for him.
As previously reported in Turkey, Fotomac say Besiktas will pay a €500K loan fee to the Saints and currently there is no redemption clause for the former Basel player.
Elyounoussi signed for Southampton from Basel for €18m last summer, but he’s struggled to prove himself under Ralph Hassenhüttl.
It now seems a loan move away from the Premier League club is on the agenda before the European transfer window close.
He’s under contract at St. Mary’s Stadium until June 2023.
