According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are still interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
Last week the Egypt international was linked with a move to the Turkish champions following reports they’d travelled to London to hold transfer talks with the Gunners.
Ajansspor have reported on the latest developments with regards to Gala’s pursuit of the Arsenal player and they say the Turkish club still want to take him on a season long loan deal.
This summer Galatasaray have made it their priority to bring another central midfielder following the departures of Badou Ndiaye and Fernando last month. It’s claimed their manager Faith Terim has asked his board to accelerate their search for a central midfielder and Elneny looks to be an option at this stage.
The Super Lig side still have nearly three weeks to get a deal done for the Arsenal man with the Turkish transfer deadline only closing at the end of August.
With the summer arrivals at the Emirates it seems Elneny will struggle to get games this season and he may have to move on.
