Earlier on Tuesday, we covered the morning reports from the Italian newspapers regarding the potential swap deal involving Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku.

The biggest hurdle for Manchester United was described as being the Argentine’s willingness (or lack thereof) to move to Old Trafford, but there was hope the amount of money the club were prepared to offer him could change his mind.

There was also talk in Gazzetta dello Sport that Dybala’s ‘right-hand man’ (it was stated he doesn’t have an agent) would be travelling to Italy soon to discuss the situation with Juventus.

Well, according to Sky Italia, the player’s agent (who we can only assume is the ‘right-hand man’ unless the forward hired a new one in the past few hours) is said to now be in London to negotiate with Manchester United.

The belief is that ‘if an financial agreement is found, then the road to the exchange with Lukaku will be downhill’, meaning things should be a lot easier from there on in.

The Belgian, down his end, was previously reported to already having an agreement in principle with the Serie A champions.

Time for Ed Woodward and co. to open their chequebook, quite literally.
