Fotomac report Fenerbahce are currently evaluating their central defensive options, with Huddersfield Town’s Zanka said to be a target for the Turkish club.
Fenerbahce have just two senior central defenders in Serdar Aziz and Sadik Ciftpinar, and are looking to add to their squad before the transfer deadline.
The Super Lig side are still in talks with Martin Skrtel over a contract extension after the Slovakian failed to find himself a new club.
According to Fotomac, along with Skrtel, Huddersfield’s Zanka and Sevilla’s Simon Kjaer are options for Fenerbahce.
With regards to Zanka, Huddersfield will reportedly sell him for €3.5m and talks between the two clubs are set to continue in the coming weeks.
The 29 year old Danish defender has also been linked with a move to another Istanbul club, Basaksehir, and it seems likely he will leave the Terriers after their relegation to the Championship last season.
His contract with Huddersfield will expire at the end of next season and subsequently the West Yorkshire could look to cash in on him this summer.
