Zinho Vanheusden spent last season on loan with Standard Liège and made 30 appearances in all competitions.
The Jupiler Pro League side want to sign the Inter Milan owned player on a permanent transfer, but so far, the two clubs have not managed to reach an agreement.
HLN reported on Tuesday that they’ve failed to find an agreement, which is why Inter are in talks with clubs from the Premier League and Serie A. HLN don’t specify club names in their report.
Another Belgian newspaper, Het Belang van Limburg, says Brighton & Hove Albion have looked at signing the 19-year-old.
It’s claimed Graham Potter’s side have conducted polls to see if there is any possibility to bring the centre-back to the club in the summer transfer window.
However, Vanheusden never considered Brighton, and has already ruled it out.
He doesn’t fancy a move to the club, and therefore there’s little point in the Seagulls kicking off any serious efforts to sign him this summer.
