Now Leicester City’s record transfer following a €30m transfer from Sporting CP on transfer deadline day, Islam Slimani hasn’t arrived under the best circumstances.

The player was involved in a financial dispute with his former agent Chokry Yousfi, ruled on back in June by the Lisbon court, which he appealed.

However, according to La Gazette du Fennec in Algeria, the appeal has since been turned down, meaning the player will have to pay his agent some compensation.

Two months ago, the Lisbon court ordered some of the player’s assets to be seized as well as two of his cars, which are still currently in Lisbon and cannot be exported or sold.

On top of that, a chunk of his last two paycheques at Sporting CP have been taken as well as €183k form his bank account.

La Gazette du Fennec now explain the Leicester City star has three options: pay his agent what the court are ordering him to, contest the decision once again or find an out of court settlement with Chokry Yousif.

Not the kind of hassle you want when you move to a new club, really.
