West Bromwich Albion manager Slaven Bilic is reported to be keen to work with his former player Tolgay Arslan, according to Fanatik.
Earlier this week we covered claims from Turkey that Bilic wants a reunion with the Fenerbahce player, who he worked with at Besiktas in 2015. It was claimed that once Bilic became West Brom manager he would target the Turkey international.
Fanatik today claims Arslan could be Bilic’s first signing at West Brom and the Croatian manager has told the Championship club signing the 28 year old would be a great move.
It’s reported Bilic will personally talk with Arslan in the coming days to convince the Fenerbahce man over a move to England.
After a falling out with the Besiktas board last season, Tolgay joined Fenerbahce for €2.5m during the winter transfer window. However, he quickly lost his place in the team after some poor performances.
Subsequently, Fener could sell Arslan with the Super Lig club currently having a number of options in midfield. They are also looking to add Benfica midfielder Ljubomir Fejsa to their squad.
