Fotospor report former Newcastle United midfielder Emre Belozoglu is looking tap up Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu over a move to Fenerbahce.
The 38 year old, who left Basaksehir at the end of the season, is set for a third spell with Fenerbahce and the player is now involved in talks with Soyuncu, along with former Manchester City striker Enes Unal.
Emre is expected to become the club’s sporting director when he retires in 12 months time.
It’s claimed Emre will this week speak to the Leicester City player at Turkey’s training camp in the hope he can convince his compatriot over a move to Istanbul.
Fenerbahce have been linked with a move for Soyuncu in recent weeks and the Turkish side are looking to sign the youngster on a temporary deal.
The former Altinordu graduate joined Leicester City last summer from Freiburg for €21m but failed to make an impact in his debut season in England. He’s made just six Premier League appearances since joining the Foxes.
Soyuncu’s contract with Leicester City runs until June 2023.
