Two days ago, we carried a report from AS, who claimed that Watford and Norwich are ‘interested’ in Eibar’s Sergi Enrich.
The forward’s contract with his current employer will expire after this season and El Diario Vasco claims the Spanish side offered him an improved deal a month ago and are still waiting for a response from the 29-year-old.
His earlier demands to continue were to have a better deal and for manager José Luis Mendilibar to continue at the club and so far, both of these have been fulfilled.
The player had earlier promised to respond to Eibar’s renewal offer after his side mathematically avoided relegation and this was achieved last week following their victory over Real Betis. However, there has been no response.
Enrich continues to attract interest from England, Turkey, France and Italy, but the player prefers the Premier League ‘for which he feels special attraction’ and from where he already has ‘proposals’ from Watford and Norwich.
The report further suggests he is only ‘valuing’ an offer from the English club, similar to the one made by Eibar.
Eibar believe they have made a considerable effort to retain Enrich and he will have the ‘last word’ to decide his future as he has continues to attract interest from the Hornets and Norwich.
