As Andreas Samaris’ contract with Benfica gets closer to its expiration date, the race for the Greek midfielder is only set to grow.
This Wednesday, Portuguese newspaper Record claims that Dinamo Moscow are now interested in the player, and should join the competition from Newcastle and Getafe.
The Russian side would be willing to offer more than Benfica want to pay in case of a renewal, so they should be considered serious competitors in this battle.
Record takes quotes from the Benfica president Luís Felipe Vieira talking about the possibility of giving Samaris a new contract. He said: “Benfica treat everyone well, offer the conditions they can offer, but won’t do more than this”.
Newcastle United have been linked to Andreas Samaris since 2017, and this is definitely the best chance they have to finally land him.
