It’s no secret Liverpool are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach’s Mahmoud Dahoud, and have been following him closely. The Reds failed to sign him during the summer transfer window, but retain an interest to bring him to Anfield in the future transfer windows.
Express title their piece ‘Klopp alarm: Liverpool is planning new attack on Gladbach Jewel Dahoud!’
The Bundesliga side maintain Dahoud isn’t for sale, but Express say there’s ‘allegedly’ a release clause in his contract which allows him to leave the club for €10m in 2017.
That would appear unlikely, or bad management from Gladbach’s point of view, but either way they’re keen on a renewal.
Express say Klopp may well have turned Dahoud’s head and the player’s prominence in the Gladbach team has dropped slightly, repeatedly coming off as a substitute. He’s also refusing to sign a new contract.
