Udinese are hoping to extend the contract of Jakub Jankto after the youngster received attention from other clubs. Benfica had an offer rejected by the Serie A side, and Arsenal’s scouts have been instructed by Arsene Wenger to keep monitoring the midfielder.
Last month we reported Arsenal will continue to send scouts to Italy this season to monitor the development of the Czech Republic U21 international. The 20 year old was in impressive form for Ascoli last season, and was a key player in helping the Serie B side avoiding the drop to Lega Pro.
The Premier League side also sent officials to Italy last season to watch the player, and he was expected to return to Ascoli for another loan spell. However, given his displays for Ascoil, Udinese decided over the summer he would remain with them.
