Seen as one of the many next big things to emerge in Portugal, Joao Felix is going to be one of the talks of the summer, and Jorge Mendes is fully ready for it.

The super agent knows there will be a lot of interest in the wunderkind, and Calciomercato explain Juventus have already had a chat about a future move, with Mendes discussing a future €30/40m transfer, which remains way below the youngster’s €120m release clause.

Over in England, one of the stories doing the rounds was that of Wolverhampton reportedly being the ‘favourites’ to sign Felix from Benfica.

That they would be interested, sure, but favourites? That seemed a bit far fetched.

Calciomercato do also mention Wolverhampton Wanderers in their article, and their suggestion makes a lot more sense.

They state that Jorge Mendes hasn’t ‘discarded the idea’ of pushing Joao Felix towards a move to either Molineux or Monaco, two of his favoured landing spots, to help the youngster in his development before making the leap to even bigger clubs.

It’s worked for Ruben Neves so far, so why couldn’t it work for the Benfica starlet?

We still think €30-40m seems low, and it could be Wolverhampton, if they do become Mendes’ chosen club in this scenario, will have to spend big to get him, yet the temptation of a good profit on the other side could be too attractive to turn down.

That, and they’d get a very talented footballer for a couple of years.
