AGF Aarhus sporting director Peter Christiansen has told the Danish media they tried to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Kamil Grabara in the last summer transfer window, but Jurgen Klopp put a stop to the deal.
The youngster finally joined the Danish club in the last transfer window after they agreed a loan deal with the Premier League club until the end of the season.
Speaking to BT.dk, Christiansen revealed they first tried sign the 20 year old in the close season market, but the Liverpool boss did a u-turn on the transfer and clock everything: “Then Klopp then said no”.
The move to Denmark could now give Grabara the opportunity to get first team football and much needed experience. The young goalkeeper has represented Liverpool in the Premier League 2 this season, and has played games for Poland at U17, U18 and U21 levels.
