Jairo Riedewald’s move to Celta Vigo seems to be going quite smoothly.
With Roy Hodgson not believing the Dutchman is crucial to his plans at the Premier League club, talks were started with Celta over a move in the January window.
Riedewald himself is keen on the switch, believing he’ll get more time on the pitch and be able to develop himself in La Liga, it’s not such a bad move for the player.
La Voz de Galicia, Celta’s local newspaper, reports in their Wednesday edition that the defender ‘has already said yes’ to the winter transfer, and now the ‘final fringes’ of the deal are being sorted out before the move can be completed and announced.
It’s even explained that an agreement has already been reached with the player for his side of the deal.
Again, there’s no confirmation over whether this is a loan or a permanent transfer, so it could be a mixture of the two.
Celta are also signing Riza Durmisi from Lazio, and he’s arriving on loan with an option to buy in the summer.
