Brighton and Hove Albion youngster Viktor Gyokeres has told the Swedish media his focus is with the Premier League club and not joining anyone else.
The forward has yet to make a Premier League appearance for the Seagulls this season which has opened up suggestions he could be loaned out in this transfer window.
Speaking to Expressen the 20 year old was asked about a possible loan move in this transfer window: “Yes, it is relevant, but I am not so close to being loaned out. Right now, I’m with Brighton. But it’s clear that it is relevant when you do not play continuously in the first team. But right now, I’m at Brighton and I’m not close to any other team.”
Gyokeres signed for Brighton in 2017 but has had to wait until this season to make his full debut for the club when he played against Bournemouth last week. Previously, he’s made a brief appearance in the EFL Cup.
Due to his lack of minutes the young forward was allowed to join up with the Sweden national team for their January tour (made up mainly of youngsters based in the country) and he’s impressed his national manager Janne Andersson.
