Chelsea loanee Nathan should soon rescind his contract with Atlético-MG, according to reports from Brazil this Tuesday.
Outlet Hoje Em Dia reports that the player’s staff are set to have a meeting with the Brazilian side’s board this afternoon to sort his situation out.
Nathan isn’t part of Atlético’s pre-season squad, and according to people from his staff, it’s likely that he will be sent back to Chelsea.
After Hoje Em Dia’s report, website UOL managed to confirm the claims. Loaned by the Blues last summer, the midfielder has made only seven appearances for Galo so far.
Signed from Atlético-PR back in 2015, Nathan is in his forth loan spell. He’d previously been sent to Vitesse, Amiens and Belenenses. With a contract running until 2019, the 22-year-old is still to make his debut for Chelsea.
In December, it was reported that the Blues had no interest in having Nathan in their squad. So the player should soon be loaned out again.
