Newcastle ‘very interested’ in signing player, Magpies could make ‘official offer’ in coming days

AC Milan signed Diego Laxalt from Genoa in August 2018 and he has started in four matches each in the Serie A and the Europa League.

It is further mentioned that the Magpies could submit an ‘official offer’ for the attacker in the coming days.

Despite struggling to impress in the first half of the season, the South American is happy with his current employer and also shares a good relationship with his manager Gennaro Gattuso.

However, it hasn’t stopped Rafael Benitez’s side moving to try to bring the player to St James’ Park in January.

The report mentions there could be more developments around Laxalt’s situation as they check the situation of a possible sale with sporting director Leonardo and Paolo Maldini.

It would be interesting to see Milan’s response if Newcastle make the ‘official offer’ for Laxalt.
