There’s no deal for Islam Slimani so far. Sporting and Leicester City are still working to find an agreement, according to Record.
The newspaper claims that Bruno de Carvalho is pushing to get €40m from the transfer, even if it includes a €35m bid plus €5m in add ons.
But Leicester are only offering €30m to be paid up front, and that’s why the deal is taking so long to be reached.
Record claims that both parties should give in, and in the end the transfer will be closed for €35m.
Once again, they say it should be done in the “next few hours”.
As Slimani is waiting for the deal to be agreed, he’s set to delay his arrival at the Algerian national team camp due to the transfer’s delay.
Record’s cover says he’s “running against time”, but the striker is very keen for the move to happen.
