After Unai Emery’s first season at Sevilla, he signed Ever Banega for his former club in 2014.
Two years later, the Spanish manager joined Paris Saint-Germain, while the midfielder moved to Inter Milan, only to return to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium in 2017.
Emery now wants Arsenal to make an approach for the Argentine international in the winter market, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
It’s claimed the manager wants the 30-year-old at the Emirates, which is why the north London club have made an ‘important proposal’ for the South American.
Several reports in England the deal is close, but the Italian website claims it isn’t the case.
Banega is not 100 percent sure of leaving Sevilla in January as he is enjoying his life with his current employer under the guidance of Pablo Machin.
