A few players at Stade Vélodrome are considered transferable as Marseille, looking for money, believe they will have suitors.
L’Equipe takes a look at the list in Friday’s edition of the French newspaper and it includes right-back Bouna Sarr, who has been on the radar of Leicester City.
It’s claimed the Premier League side were looking at the idea of adding the Frenchman to their squad in January 2018, it’s said he’s a ‘rare commodity’ and was ‘asked for by Leicester’.
Earlier in May, the 26-year-old put pen to paper on a new contract with the Ligue 1 outfit as the current deal will keep with the club until 2022. However, that has not stopped them from making him available.
The Foxes’ failure to sign the Lyon-born player saw them bring Ricardo Pereira to the King Power Stadium before the start of the season.
His arrival has seen 31-year-old Danny Simpson’s role being limited and with the latter’s contract set to expire next summer, they may be room for another.
At this stage, it seems more like hope from L’Equipe on behalf of Marseille.
