Two Serie A clubs chasing forward after Leeds United approach for South American

 

Serie A sides Palermo and Crotone have joined the race to sign Ternana forward Felipe Avenatti, according to claims in Italy.

Due to his contact situation, Avenatti has been the subject of speculation he could move in this window, and has again been linked with a move Leeds United following their first attempts to land the Uruguayan last year.

Ternana News have revealed two of Ternana’s key players are being tracked by clubs from the Italian top flight. Palermo and Cronte are keen to strengthen in attack before next week’s transfer deadline, and Avenatti player is an option. Fellow Serie A side Bologna have also been showing an interest in Avenatti in recent weeks.

Leeds United have been linked with Avenatti since last summer, and in recent weeks there have been claims in Italy the Championship side have approached Ternana with regards to the South American.

Former Leeds United U21 coach and now Ternana boss Benito Carbone is likely to be key to any deal being done with Leeds United, but the likelihood is the player will remain with the club at least until the next window.

Carbone is keen for the 23-year-old to extend his contract as he sees the player to be in his plans, but with his contract expiring next summer Teranna have a decision to make on the striker.
