Since Real Madrid appointed Santiago Solari as Julen Lopetegui’s successor at Real Madrid, Isco has not started a game for the Champions League winners.
The midfielder was dropped from the squad for the European tie against AS Roma on Tuesday and Mundo Deportivo indicates the relationship between the player and the manager is ‘very bad’ and it looks like the situation will not be resolved anytime soon.
This has led to speculation linking the 26-year-old to clubs in England and the Catalan newspaper mentions Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in him.
Pep Guardiola’s side have an advantage over other Premier League clubs because he has been chasing the player for a long time and the manager sees his compatriot ‘playing perfectly’ in his system.
So far a move away from Real Madrid for Isco in January has not been discussed, either by the club or by the Spaniard, but the situation could change quickly after the former Malaga star’s relationship with Solari broke down.
There will be more to this saga if the Argentine coach continues to not include the midfielder in the starting lineup for the upcoming fixtures.
Manchester City will be linked to Isco until the end of time, so this latest claim was inevitable.
